Finally bought the Nokia e90 a few days back. My intital reaction…what the hell was I doing without it!! Have said good bye to my beloved Nokia e61i as I am now preparing for THE Nokia e71. I know I have not been updating the blog as used to last distributed raman amplifier year as I have been very tied up with my new job. I still cannot promise serious updation but will at least try to update it as much as I can most likely weekly. I was wondering if all the themes that I collected for Nokia e61i will work for Nokia e90 and was pleasently surprised that they do.I tried one of the theme called black stip theme and it worked like a charm on my Nokia e90. I was updating downloads on my Nokia e61i and in extra applications noticed an app called “Active Notes”. Unlike notes that allows users to write notes and send it through various options, active notices does much more. In Active Notes you can insert ???????? images, sound, video clips, business card, bookmark and also any files. Sending has various options i.e thru text message, email, bt etc.

You can also link note to a call reminding you of a particular agenda against the caller. A small but powerful tool that replaces notes on your s60 device.

Nokia threaded sms conversation has been updated and is now also available for Nokia e51 and Nokia e90 users. I did not see much of a difference but it definitely seems more stable then before. You can update it from here

Came across an interesting software after gmail and google maps called google search for the Nokia 3rd edition. After download and installation you will see the screen pop up as above. All you have to do is press ctrl a small pop in window opens up, you can type in what you want and presto a menu opens up which when you select opens your net browser automatically and starts searching. Pretty good tool for users who use google a lot, like me.

Yes I am finally back from the dead, got the iphone used it, abused it finally hated it and am back. It is definitely an innovative gadget but nothing as compared to a Nokia especially my e61i …yeah! Watch out for lot of catching up and postings to follow on. Now have to get rid of Apple’s brick fast.

I know, I know this is a s60devices blog and talking about an iphone is a taboo….but I just can’t resist. My friend walked in with his iphone today I was on my beloved e61i chatting with a friend. From the corner of my eye I could see a sexy looking device lying on my center table. I got very distracted while talking on my e61i to the extent I told him to bugger off. I then calmly asked my friend; Is this the iphone? very innocently he replied, yes it is! By the was this guy WAS a serious Nokia N95 power user.
