Back from the dead!
Yes I am finally back from the dead, got the iphone used it, abused it finally hated it and am back. It is definitely an innovative gadget but nothing as compared to a Nokia especially my e61i …yeah! Watch out for lot of catching up and postings to follow on. Now have to get rid of Apple’s brick fast.

As an E61i user myself I’d love to hear the reasons for your giving up on the iPhone.
Here in Canada Rogers is set to start selling it early next year and I have to get some answers ready for all the people who are going to ask my why I don’t have one

The iphone looks very cool, responsive I would say a great gadget with some nice features. Graphics and animation are really cool. The messaging side is really bad, cannot forward sms’s, no multiple recipent selection. Text input is okay nothing compared to the e61i. I would say e61i is a business phone that is more of a gadget come phone. The loudspeaker sucks…anything in particular you want to know will be glad to add…cheers

I was tmepted by te iPhone too when it recently went on sale in the UK. I have to admit it looks gorgeous and the UI is amazing, but it doesn’t actually do a lot compared to my E61i.
The iPhone is a something you have fun with, the E61i is a phone that you use to get things done with.

I love the UI and the eye candy the iPhone has. But on a very native level, I feel that the E61i is a device that is to get work done… It may not get people drooling over to catch a glimpse of the shiny gadget in your hand, it may not get you girlfriends, but it does what it was always meant to do… Connect people… in whatever way the world allows you to… And it does it best!!! Flawlessly!!!

I still have the iphone am using the e61i for productivity or as you said getting things done, iphone is for music excellent browsing using ti more like the itouch, do not have the heart to get rid of it maybe because my wife took my ipod and I dont have one. So it is more or less acting as a cool gadget for me.
