Recently I noticed that my emails in Mail for Exchange (push email) were opening very slowly. Whenever a new email was pushed on my Nokia e61i it kept saying openinnnnnng for ages. It was taking 30 to 45 seconds to open up one email forget about the rest. I kept wondering why this was happening? After doing some research I learnt some interesting facts.

Their was a rumor going on that the notification light (the light in the upper left corner that blinks at regular intervals whenever you receive a mail, sms or missed call) is not working at one of the forums. One of e61iblog’s members “ibulldog” has confirmed that his notification light is also not working. Please beware of this problem and check this problem immediately on your handset so you like our member don’t suffer.

Used transfer to move all my info from e61 to e61i, when I got to sms messages transfers it became so slow it was unbelievable. After 2500 sms messages got tranferred I had to kill the connection. The message icon stopped responding and when it did respond I tried to open one of my messages “memory full close some application” warning came. Tch tch…deleted all my sms’s rather have a fast os then a slow one.
