I was updating downloads on my Nokia e61i and in extra applications noticed an app called “Active Notes”. Unlike notes that allows users to write notes and send it through various options, active notices does much more. In Active Notes you can insert ???????? images, sound, video clips, business card, bookmark and also any files. Sending has various options i.e thru text message, email, bt etc.

You can also link note to a call reminding you of a particular agenda against the caller. A small but powerful tool that replaces notes on your s60 device.

Nokia threaded sms conversation has been updated and is now also available for Nokia e51 and Nokia e90 users. I did not see much of a difference but it definitely seems more stable then before. You can update it from here

Came across an interesting software after gmail and google maps called google search for the Nokia 3rd edition. After download and installation you will see the screen pop up as above. All you have to do is press ctrl a small pop in window opens up, you can type in what you want and presto a menu opens up which when you select opens your net browser automatically and starts searching. Pretty good tool for users who use google a lot, like me.

Nokia beta labs has launched a much needed threaded sms application called conversation. Thanks to Ed at e-series for informing us. The application is very simple to use and is a much needed feature for our device.

It seems Mosh (Mobile Share) Nokia has thrown the biggest party in the web sphere and has invited everyone. If you haven’t been there you have no idea what you are missing, I have simply been dumbfounded what’s happening out there. Thanks to Lehman one of my readers and Angel at mobilefasicination who got me into this. We all know there are a lot of key shortcuts available on our device but either we keep forgetting them or do not use them to the maximum. Dictionary for S60 symbian 3rd edition has been added. Very simple format. Type in a word, hit options > lookup the meaning of the word gets found immediately. Initially I thought the word search would be online but it wasn’t which is pretty neat.

Dictionary should work on Nokia e61i, Nokia e90, Nokia e50, Nokia e65 and Nokia 6120 classic. Added it in the free ware section. Thank you Simon Judge for making this useful software. Following are a few screen shots….
