S60devices

Dictionary for S60 symbian 3rd edition has been added. Very simple format. Type in a word, hit options > lookup the meaning of the word gets found immediately. Initially I thought the word search would be online but it wasn’t which is pretty neat.

Dictionary should work on Nokia e61i, Nokia e90, Nokia e50, Nokia e65 and Nokia 6120 classic. Added it in the free ware section. Thank you Simon Judge for making this useful software. Following are a few screen shots….

Mobile Weather is a standalone weather application. M weather, as it is called in the title can let you check and update weather for various cities in the world. You can practically add weather of multiple cities/country wise. This feature is very convenient for frequent travelers who can check at a glance weather in various destinations all over the world.

Finally, I could not resist and have added a “games” page on the blog. I guess all work and no play makes our devices slightly dull. I will start by doing adding a reviewing of “Dawn of the fly”. It’s a hilarious games with excellent graphics. I used to play this a lot on Nokia e61 so thought will start with this one.

At last Windows has launched their live messenger for symbian 3rd edition and hopefully it will not disappear as it used to before i.e without a trace. Since a few years I have become a very big fan of google and gmail so I am being forced to  review this for you guys. Sorry windows but google all the way. Please remember it is a 2 part installation 1st you have to download dep.sis file and then the windowslive.sis file before installation.

Thanks to George who sent me 2 nice utility software for S60 3rd edition devices. One of the software he was kind enough to send was autolock. My life has become easier using this feature or has it.

Autolock, as the name suggests locks your phone immediately. After installation the phone did get locked immediately, it did scare me a bit as if I would never be able to open it again.

There is so much software coming out for Nokia “e” and “n” series phones it is hard to catch up. The strangest part is that you have to sift and look for it. I have come across another great freeware called ‘MobiGenie” and yes that too from Nokia’s ME website under Nokia e65 softwares though it works very well with our Nokia e61i. MobiGenie is a freeware that can be used as an answering machine/blacklist calls/caller locators/reply through predefined sms on your Nokia e61i.
A very powerful utility.

I could not let this pass by, Symtorrent a symbian version of bit torrent is here. I know it is a thin line between copyrights and torrent downloads but let them sort this out. Meanwhile let us enjoy downloading torrent files directly on our nokia e61i.
